Amanda Dawn Nelson

Amanda Dawn Nelson was born on January 16, 1987 to the parents of Marilyn Ann Vaughn and stepfather, Billy Eugene Vaughn in Nashville, Tennessee. She was educated in the Metro-Nashville Public School where she attended McGavock High School. She professed a hope in Christ and united with Ken & Carol Community Care Fellowship. She was never married but was engaged to James Anderson. Amanda loved life and her family and friends. She loved laughing, dancing, and watching movies. She was known for showing kindness, she would do anything for anybody. She would give you the shirt off her back and the shoes on her feet. She would let the homeless come in her house and take a shower and eat her food even if she didn’t have any food for herself. She loved people and believed in helping people even if she couldn’t help herself. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother aunt, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Marilyn Vaughn ; stepfather, Billy Vaughn; sister, Kara Vaughn, Krissma Cook, Shannon Grimes; brother-in-law, Clifton Booker aka FLIP; step brother, Anthony Oglesby; daughter, Nevaeh Nelson; son, Anthony Nelson; nephew, Landon Vaughn; niece, Aaliyah Booker; aunt, Janice Justice; uncles, Terry Justice, Lee Briley, Keith Nelson, Kenny & Eric Wilhite; aunt, Cathy Nelson Wilhite. SPECIAL FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY: best friend, Tiesha Harrison; she loved you so much ya’ll where best friends for years stay strong we love you” fiancé; James Anderson; special and wonderful people that has been in her life and true real and honest to her that loves her so much; godmother and godfather, Brenda and James Perkins; godbrothers, Mikey and Mathew Beets; Thank you too for everything you guys have done for Amanda ya’ll are awesome and great people; brother, Karl Cook “Memphis”; very best friends and family, Melvin Wyatt and Carla Castle; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
