Anthony Lamont Hockett

Anthony Hockett affectionately know as “AMP’ was born on October 3, 1969, to Billy Ray and Barbara Hockett in Nashville, Tennessee. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Anthony was educated in the Metro-Nashville Public Schools system where he attended Maplewood Comprehensive High School. After high school he went on to start his family business. He was employed for many years at Greenwood and Hockett Lawn Services. Debra Hayes was a devoted companion who has spent over 4 decades with.

Anthony enjoyed going fishing, working on cars, playing cards, and being at family gatherings.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Debra Hayes; children, DeMarshea, Shay, Rico (Maria), Lorenzo, Anthony, Desiree, Antionette, Destiny, Kalia, Orlando, Antonio (Jamiee) Hayes; grandchildren, Ri’onna, Victoria, River, Reign, Dior, Ty’onna, Miracle, Antonio Jr., Amir and Landon Hayes; siblings, Ricky, Maricue, Jabo (Demetress), Jeff; only sister, Syretta; devoted friends, Purdey, Eric, Michelle Groves; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
