Barbara Ann McNealy

Barbara Ann McNealy was born in Nashville, Tennessee on February 8, 1947.  She departed this life on May 10, 2022.  Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Hockett, Sr. and mother, Mary L. Hockett; sister, Mary E. Harney; son, Minister Randy W. Hockett and brother, Willie M. Hockett, Sr.

Barbara was educated in the Davidson County School system and attended the University of Tennessee- Downtown Campus in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was employed as a Medical Records Coder at Nashville General Hospital for over thirty years until she retired in 2006.  Barbara enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, shopping and traveling.  She was a member of All Souls Church of Nashville.

Barbara is survived by two sons, whom she loved dearly, Reginald E. Hockett, Eric M. McNealy.  She will be missed by her siblings, Charlene Keeling, Linda McClellar, Charles L. (Regina) Hockett, Jr., Delores Hockett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and co-workers, Beverly Hunter, Velma McQuiddy, Nannette Hall and Myrna Marshall.Viewing Monday, May 16, 2022, 1-6, visitation Tuesday, May 17, 11-12 with funeral to follow at funeral home. Burial in Greenwood North Cemetery.
