Beneta Maria Hubbard-Polk

Mrs. Beneta Maria Hubbard-Polk was born April 10, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee to Frances Hubbard. Beneta answered her call to eternity on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Beneta accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. She was currently a member of Jefferson Street Missionary Baptist Church where she worshiped with her husband until his passing.

Beneta was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. She was a 1972 graduate of Maplewood High School and continued her education by attending Tennessee State University, graduating in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in education and healthcare.

Beneta married Adrian Polk on September 2, 1989. This union was blessed with 2 beautiful daughters.

Beneta was employed by Bordeaux Long Term Care for over 20 years before she retired in 2007. After her retirement she was able to spend more time with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing trivia games; one of her favorites was Jeopardy.

Beneta was preceded in death by her husband on July 10, 2007, grandparents, Lula (Howard) Smith and stepfather, Willie Haynes.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories her loving daughters, Jessica and Adrianna Polk, loving mother, Frances Hubbard-Haynes, brothers, James and Charles Hubbard and sister, April Pegues, a fleet of nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
