Mrs. Betty Jean Huey-Lanier was born May 27, 1951, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of John Washington Huey and Luesillia Heard Huey. This sweet life came to an end on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Betty was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools. She was employed by Vanderbilt University Medical Center for many years. Betty studied with the Hermitage Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She married William Stanley Lanier in 2024.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading the bible, watching tv and spending time with family.
Betty Jean, spent most of her life, serving Jehovah God, at the Kingdom Hall. Betty Jean loved Jehovah and it reflected in her walk in life. She loved her children and she loved her great granddaughter Journi Neely, they spent countless hours on FaceTime, she telling Journi gran-gran loves you. Betty Jean, will be missed, she was loved by many. Take your rest momma until we see you again. “We Love You to The Moon and Back!
Betty Jean, was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Luesilla (Heard) Huey, sisters, Rose Mary Huey, Willie Bee Huey, Judy Ann Huey, brothers, J.W Huey, Wille Lee Huey, Robert Lewis Huey, John “Bubba” Huey, David Lee Huey Sr., nephew Lewis Edwin Carter, great nephew, Melvin (Oudie) Huey.
