Betty Jean Woods

Mrs. Betty Jean Woods was born June 21, 1947, in Nashville, Tennessee to the parents, Robert Lee Batey and Velma Lee Batey. This productive life came to an end on Friday May 29, 2026, at her residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Betty was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age.

Betty was employed by the Coca Cola Plant as a machine operator for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Velma Batey, husband, siblings, Joyce Batey, Patricia Batey, Roberta Shull and Vivian Gibbons.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Debbie Welch, Andrea Welch and, grandchildren, Makeshia (Joseph) Howell, Michael Welch, Tacoria Welch, Corey (Kawanna) Welch, great-grandchildren, Kennedy Howell, Jordan Howell, Brodie Howell, and Loveaeh Oden, Lennox Welch and Leah Welch, siblings, Lewis Batey and Dorthena Batey a host of other relatives and friends.
