Bettye H. Allen

Betty H. Allen was born January 4, 1943, to the union of Carter Turner and Katie Love in Gallatin, TN. Betty was raised in a God-fearing family, so her love for Jesus Christ was always her foundation. She was a devoted member of Greater St. John Baptist Church.

Betty was educated in Nashville, TN where she graduated from Pearl High School. She went on to continue her education at Meharry Medical College, where she became a registered nurse. Betty served as a RN for at least 43 years when she retired from Baptist Hospital. She had a passion for reading, a love for word puzzles, and truly enjoyed computers and cooking for her family.

Betty H. Allen was preceded in death by her father, Carter Turner, mother, Katie Love, husband Thomas B. Allen, and her son Albert Holman.

She leaves her beautiful memories to be cherished by her devoted sons, William (Latanya) Holman and Michael Holman; loving grandchild, April (Bobby) Mckissack, and Jovon Garrison; cherished great Grandchildren, Antonesha Holman, Malik Holman, Brooklyn Holman, Zur McKissack, Keosha Pruitt; and great-Great Grandchildren, Taitum Holman, Houstyn Holman, Corbin Bell, and Denim Bell.
