Camille Audraine Smith, born on January 25, 1960, in Nashville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2025, at Tristar Skyline Medical in Nashville. Her untimely death has left a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and colleagues.

With a distinguished career spanning over 35 years, Camille dedicated her life to education, serving in the Special Education Department at Robertson County and Davidson County Public Schools; Ambassador for Eczema Exposed. A proud advocate for special needs children, she was deeply committed to her students and took great pride in holding those around her accountable. Camille's influence and compassion impacted countless lives, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to education and community service.

A 1978 graduate of East High School, Camille furthered her education at Middle Tennessee State University, earning a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1982. She also achieved a Master's of Education degree from Trevecca Nazarene College in 1989, enhancing her ability to support her students and community.

Camille was well-known for her bright, witty, and friendly personality. Her captivating smile could warm the coldest of hearts. A true "daddy's girl," she held a deep pride for her family. She loved spending quality time with her devoted loving husband of 37 years, Michael Smith, and their two sons, Michael Forrest Smith and Cameron Ramey Smith. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Caliegh Davis and Michael Asante' Smith, Marley Amonte Smith, Riley Smith and Kylie Smith relishing every moment spent with them.

In addition to her immediate family, Camille is survived by her mother, Catherine Ramey Moore; her brother, Forrest Moore, III; and her brothers-in-law, Roderick Kelley and Tyrone (Helen) Smith. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Beverly (Bill) Wade, and a host of other relatives, friends, and loving sorority sisters.

Her contributions to the community extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a proud member of Nashville Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Incorporated and Highland Heights / East High Forever Sisters as well as being involved with Mes Amie Civic and Social Club. Camille had a passion for life, enjoying hobbies such as gardening, traveling, shopping, and competing in dramatic arts.

Camille is preceded in death by her father, Forrest Moore, Jr.; her sister, Debra Kelley; her brother, Frederick Moore; her sister-in-law, Eloise Banks; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Smith.
