Charlotte Anita Gipson was born on April 4/4/56 in Nashville, Tennessee to the Union of William and Eulis Jean Rose. She transitioned from this life on Friday, May 12th, 2023.
Charlotte accepted Christ at an early age and later became an active member of Boyce Street Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in Nashville-Davidson County Public Schools, graduating from East Nashville High School.
In 1974, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Freddie Lee Gipson and soon after welcomed their daughter Lucretia Renee. They enjoyed a 48 year marriage. She had a long and beautiful career beginning in public banks and ending at a law firm - Bass Berry & Sims, retiring in December 2022. She enjoyed Church Services and Bible study, spending time with her friends and family, and making crafts.
Preceded in transition was husband Freddie Gipson, father William E.H. Rose, mother Eulis Jean Rose, brother Michael L. Coble, and sister Mildred Elaine Whitworth - she leaves to cherish her spirit and memories to daughter Lucretia Gipson-King, granddaughters Dana Gipson and Jocelyn King, sisters Brenda Price (Wayne), Carolyn Rose, Diane Rose, Teresa Rose, and Angela Adams (Patrick); Sisters-in-law, Etta Jean Wilkerson, Louise Gipson, Deborah Coble (Michael); Brothers-in-law, Albert Gipson, Malvin Gipson (Brenda); A host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and cousins; Devoted cousin, Lucille Bryant; Devoted Friends, Eartha Banks and family. Essie Spann, Cynthia Whitfield, Min. Patricia Wilks, Claudine Smith and Emma Floyd.
