Aunt Clara...So so many great memories of our time in Rockford. You had so many talents. I remember the trips to Joanne Fabrics and your making Dashikis with such beautiful cloth and tapestry. I will say yes your alto voice was like none other I've heard in my lifetime. It was unmatched. Loved sitting near you just so that I could hear. You were always smiling and brightened up many rooms. I loved being in your Sunday school class. Your love for the Lord was so apparent. You always kept the door open for anyone to stop by and you always had a hot pot of coffee ready to welcome people. Bro. Hervey, Bro. Mac. Sis Lewis. and countless others. I hold the times we had in Rockford dear to my heart as they changed me and that was when we were all closest. Thank you auntie for those good times that we had at the Fulsons on Morgan street. They are etched deep in my heart. The Slaughter family are all back together again. We will all have a big family reunion one day!! Until we meet again ❤️
