Darius Cortez Mincy

Darius Cortez Mincy was born on December 30, 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee to Terry Wallace Mincy and Lashanda Jones. He departed this earthly life on April 20, 2026. 

Darius was a graduating senior in the class of 2026 at Hunters Lane High School. All of his family and friends were extremely proud when Darius was selected to receive a full scholarship to David Lipscomb University. Just as Darius took his schoolwork seriously, he worked just as hard on his after school job and never missed a day at work. One of the sweetest memories that his grandmother, Marilyn, had about Darius and his job was that every time he got paid, he went to the bank and got all of his big bills changed into one-dollar bills to make it seem like his wallet was full of money.

Darius was a gentle, quiet, kindhearted soul who will be sorely missed. Darius leaves to cherish his loving memories: father, Terry Mincy; mother, Lashanda Jones; brother, Antonio Ralston; sister, Genesis Marilyn Mincy; devoted grandmother, Marilyn Turner; grandparents, Deanna Yvette Jones and Alvin Jones; aunts, Ciara Battle, Kanisha Blake and Colizah (Lewis) Wright; uncles, Maurice McDonald, Corey Smith and Dewayne Smith; cousins, Aaron Hailey, Aniyah Hailey, and Icelynn Ralston; devoted friend, Tyshaun Braden; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
