Deacon Hobson was born to the union of Cicero and Luella Hobson on February 16, 1942 in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Deacon Hobson and Betty Gooch was united in Holy Matrimony on April 3,1965, they have enjoyed 57 years of marriage, and two children were born to this union.
Albert professed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was a member of Mt. Gilliam Missionary Baptist Church. There he sung with the choir and later became a dedicated Deacon serving on the board for many years.
Albert graduated from Pearl High School in Nashville, Tennessee in 1962. He served in the Army Reserve for several years. Deacon Hobson worked for 38 years at Braid Ward Electrical Printing Company, where he retired. He had many hobbies, playing his guitar, bowling, golf, watching all sports, and he never met a stranger. Deacon Hobson also played in several gospel groups as well as several movies, including his every Friday music group at Hartman Park Community Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Betty Hobson, daughter, Alisa (Wilvann) Pillow, son, David (Tarsha) Hobson, grandchildren, Brittnie, Ja’ Lesa, Shawn, Jordin, great grandchildren, Amani and Essynce, brothers, Henry, and James (Linda) Hobson, sister, Eddie Hardy, sister-in-law, Maggie (Edward) Dansby, brothers-in-law, John (Shirley) Gooch, Alfred (Linda) Keel, and a host of nieces, nephews, devoted friends, Etha and Andrew Smith, and Frank Bright.
Deacon Hobson left this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Cicero and Luella Hobson, brothers, Herbert and Alexander Hobson, sister, Alma Houston.
