Debra Ann McNairy was born in Pulaski TN to William Edward and Lena McNairy. From the very beginning her life she was a gift from God and she was nurtured in love and care, laying the foundation for the faith and strength she carried throughout her journey.
Debra was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 2, yet she never complained, choosing instead to face life with grace and infectious smile. She found joy in each day the Lord blessed her with holding close to her favorite saying, “better days are yet to come.”
Debra became a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pulaski, TN at an early age. After moving to Nashville, she joined Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she faithful in her walk with the Lord until her passing.
Although she was not able to attend services in person, Ms. Kitty Pulley and Deacon Bill Hall lovingly ensured that Debra could still experience church from home, together, they sang, prayed, shared communion, and fellowshipped each week -keeping Debra spiritually nourished and deeply connected to her faith.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents William Edward and Lena McNairy; sisters, Mildred Malone and Delaine Enge; brother, William McNairy; niece, Connie Malone; nephews, Larry Malone, William (Skipper) Malone.
Debra leaves behind to cherish her memories a loving and devoted sister, Shirley Shannon; nieces, Valerie (Grant) Dungee, Yvette Snowden, Yvonne (Thomas) Goliday, Sheryl Enge, Brittni Shelton; nephews, David Enge, Curtis Enge, Stanley Enge, Timothy (Ashley) Shannon, Marcellus Snowden, Jasper (Chelsey) Snowden, Robert (Bobby) Malone, Dennis Malone, Warren McNairy, Walter McNairy, Wayne McNairy; devoted friends, Ms. Katherine (Kitty) Pulley, Deacon William (Bill) Hill, Mrs. JoAnn Beam; and a host of other family relatives and friends.
