Mrs. Donna Louise Robertson-Wooden, beloved daughter of Charlie and Mary Robertson was born on December 20, 1961 in Nashville, Tn. She suddenly transitioned this life to be with God our Father on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Donna Louise, received her formal education through Nashville Public School System, graduating from McGavock High School in 1980. She also attended Draughons Junior College and Branell College receiving her CNA certification. With hopes of one day owning her own business she attended many culinary workshops, classes and seminars to hone her craft.
Donna accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. Myers at Watson Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully attended many years serving on the usher board. She later joining The Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
Donna was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Paul Wooden, Jr on October 11, 1997. Because of this beautiful union they became a beautifully blended family with the addition of birthing their youngest daughter, Alexis.
Donna was the proud owner of Party Go’ers Catering for over 20 years where she took pride in serving many of the prestigious leaders in the political, healthcare and collegiate community. She took pride in her business being a great staple in the community as she often appeared on television and published in newspapers and magazines. In her leisure time she loved to cook, entertain, play crossword puzzles, and watching the Lifetime Network. Donna enjoyed volunteering at local food banks where she could interact with people and provide them with simple recipes for their families.
Donna was truly blessed with a loving community of family and friends. She departed this life on April 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Mr. Charlie Robertson and son, Paul Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Mr. Paul Wooden, Jr.; Two daughters, Natasha and Alexis Wooden; Granddaughters, Kambry and Samiyah; Her Loving and endearing, Mother Mary Louise Robertson; Three brothers, Ricardo, Charles and Marcus Robertson; Two Brothers-in-law, Eugene(Dorothy)Holt and Ambrose(Mary)Wooden; Three Sisters, Sonya(Leon) Tyus, Sheronda (Michael) Webb and Tammy Parrish; Sister-in-Law Brenda McClenon; Aunt, Shirley Matthews; Devoted nieces and nephew, Demeterous and Zorrianna Johnson and Willie(Jimbob) Robertson; Devoted Cousin, Katreda Norman; Best friend, Lynn Turner and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
