Dwight Lambert Tidwell was born on September 10, 1955 in Nashville, TN to the late Emma Lou (Tidwell) and James Gosie and Robert Lewis Davidson Sr. He parted this life on April 16, 2026

Dwight was educated in the Nashville Public School System. He attended TSU where he received his Masters in Electrical Engineering. He was employed with Nashville Electric Service for years.

He was married to Dorothy Loretta (Davis) Tidwell in 1981 for 45 years and 55 years together.

He enjoyed watching TN Titans, wrestling, fishing, traveling. Enjoying music and concerts, being a handyman, a jack-of-all-trades, Mr. Fix It and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, step-father, James Gosie who raised him, grandparent Mary (John) Glenn. Siblings Alfonzo, Mikecal, Dennis, Mabelene, Carlotta Davidson, Bone Davidson-Smith. Aunt: Betty Moore. Mother inlaw Mary Davis. Grandson inlaw Charqwan Howse.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Wife Dorothy Loretta (Davis) Tidwell. Daughters: LaTaunynia (Ricardo) Campbell, Cynthia and Candace Tidwell. Grandchildren: Asha Campbell, Diamond Carter, Ciara Birdine, Coriyon Tidwell and Ciana Birdine. Great grandchildren: Charlee and Carter Howse. Siblings: Victoria Gosie, Valeria (Robert) Fitzgerald, Robert Davidson Jr., Anthony, Brian and Zanner (AL Pye) Davidson, Chris Bailey, Willie (Sheila) Tidwell, John (Cookie) Glenn, Harold (Darlene) Glenn and Beverly (Derrick) Johnson. Devoted brother in-law William (Elaine) Dobson.
