Evelyn M. Wiggins, the third child of the late Willie and Hattie Pearl (Franklin) Haygood of Nashville, Tennessee, was born February 20, 1936.
Evelyn attended Cameron High School in Nashville, Tennessee. She was joined in matrimony to Lyman H. Wiggins, Sr.
Evelyn accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior at an early age and was a dedicated member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, prior to her illness, where she served on the Mother’s Board.
She was also a dedicated employee at Bordeaux Hospital for 28 years, retiring in 1999.
Evelyn made her transition into eternity on April 2, 2026, and was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Hattie Pearl Haygood, her sister Anna Pearl White, her son Lyman H. Wiggins, Jr. and one daughter Janet Wiggins.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories of a well lived life of ninety years with her daughters, Brenda Tucker, Velverly Smith and Sandra Wiggins of Nashville TN; brother David Haygood; sisters Mary Lee Jackson, Obera McDonald, and Almedia Blackman of Nashville, Tennessee and Laura (Billy) Ward of Tallevast, FL; five grandchildren, Kelli Wiggins, Autumn Wiggins, Tiana (Kehinde) Adeniyi, Atisha Wiggins and Jatorie Wiggins; 2 great-grandchildren, Isaiah Jones and Zariona Summers; great-grand pup Tobii; special friends, the King family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
