Ms. Fleeter Johnson Wade was born on January 8, 1939, to the late Mr. Whitt Johnson and Mrs. Otelia (Rice) Johnson in Halifax, North Carolina. She departed this life on October 17, 2021.
Ms. Wade was a diligent worker. She was employed with the Nashville Metro Police assigned to Public Schools as a Crossing Guard, Saint Thomas Hospital as a Unit Clerk, and an Over the Road Truck Driver. She enjoyed gardening, painting, and watching sports on television.
Fleeter was 82 years old and loved by her brothers and sisters who currently reside in Halifax, NC. She was the second oldest child and oldest daughter to Whitt Johnson and Otelia (Rice) Johnson. She was preceded in death by one brother Marcus, survived by Roland, Barbarjean, Picket, Decolila, Coleman and Alice.
Fleeter was a high school graduate. She completed two years of college at Virgina State. She left college to become a mother and wife. She married Henry Wade and delivered nine children, by the time the oldest reached age 12 she was a single parent. She traveled from Virgina to Washington, DC and settled in Tennessee. She work hard to earn a living and even harder to keep her children together.

Viewing Sunday, October October 24, 2021, 2:00 p.m.-4:00p.m. at funeral home. Visitation Monday, October 25, 2021, 12-1:00 with funeral to follow at Spruce Street Baptist Church 504 Spruce Street. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery North.
