Mr. Forrest Moore, Jr. was born July 11, 1931, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Forrest Moore, Sr. and Frankie Parker Moore. This peaceful and productive life came to an end on Friday, June 6, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Forrest was educated in Nashville Davidson County. He attended Pearl High School and Tennessee State University. Forrest entered the armed forces and served his county in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of Corporal. He received an honorable discharge.
Forrest married the love of his life Catherine Ramey in January 1954. This union was blessed with over 71 years of love and marriage.
Forrest was baptized in the Church of Christ and was a long time member in good standing of Schrader Lane Church of Christ.
After his service with the military, Forrest returned home and worked with the Metro General Services for over 25 years and was blessed to retire.
Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Frankie Moore, Sr., children, Debra Moore-Kelly, and Fredrick D. Moore, borther, Karl Vincent Moore.
Forrest leaves to celebrate his life and legacy, his loving and devoted wife of over 71 years, Catherine Ramey Moore, son, Forrest Moore, III, daughter, Camille Moore (Michael A.) Smith, 7, grandchildren, brother, Mahlon Parker Moore, several other relatives and friends.
