Freda Edwards

Freda M. Woodard Edwards was born in Rogersville, AL., on March 23, 1944 to the late Arlien Fuqua Woodard and Joseph W. Woodard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Edwards, Parents, Arlien Fuqua Woodard, Joseph Woodard. Siblings, Joseph Woodard Jr., Earl Woodard, Eugenia Woodard and Deborah Wade.

She professed her faith in Christ at Webster Memorial Baptist Church at an early age.

She graduated from Meigs High School and went to Belmont College for 2 years. She became a LPN at Metro General Hospital. Joined the Army on September 20, 1974 until retirement on March 31, 2004. She also served in the National Guards and TBI.

She leaves to mourn her passing Brother, Kenneth Woodard, Sister Maiane McCray. A host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, cousins and grand cousins. A host of close friends, people she served with in the army with and worked with. Her New Jerusalem Baptist Church and Dr. Bishop H. Flemmings.

She was a friend to everyone, never met a stranger. She was a faithful worker, a pleasant doorkeeper. She will be sadly missed by all.
