Gregory Locke

Homegoing Celebration of Gregory Allan Locke Sr.

Gregory Allan Locke was born to the union of Washington Harrison Locke and Lorraine Juanita Locke on Wednesday, August 14, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. 

At a young age, Gregory was baptized and raised Catholic. He also attended a Catholic school. At the age of fourteen, Gregory and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. This is where he developed a lifelong friendship with Gerald Jones, Leo White III, Michael Horton, and Ronnie Horton.Gregory was educated in Nashville Davidson County Public School Systems, graduating from Maplewood Comprehensive High School. In 1978, Gregory and Tammy Locke entered parenthood with the first of four children: Ashonda Seay, LaTosha Locke, Gregory Locke II, and Angel Locke. Gregory had a long work history in maintenance. His final place of employment was at Abe's Garden Community before he became ill and retired.

Gregory loved to draw, play the guitar, work on vintage vehicles, sew, fish, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Washington and Lorraine Locke, daughter, Angel Locke, and sister, Karen Locke McKinnon.

He leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Ashonda Seay, LaTosha Locke, son, Gregory Locke II, grandson, Thomas Seay Jr., granddaughter, Tayana Seay, grandson, Torey Seay, Willie (Marsha) Brown, sister, Lisa Locke, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
