Icie Lurline Brandon was born on November 24, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Icie Caruthers and John Caruthers. She entered eternal rest on March 11, 2026.
Icie dedicated more than 20 years of her life to working in health care, where she was known for her compassion, commitment, and genuine desire to help others. Her work was not just a job, but a calling, and she touched many lives through her service.
In her free time, Icie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved listening to music, especially the Blues and gospel, and could often be found reading or spending quality time with her family. She was also an avid fan of Days of Our Lives, never missing an episode and enjoying the stories and characters she followed for years.
Icie was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, daughter, Johnnie; sons, James and Tariano Brandon; as well as an assortment of nieces, nephews and other family relatives and friends.
Icie was kind, loving, funny, open in mind and spirit in accepting people and loved her children. Her sweetness and good heartedness are something that will be remembered by everyone that ever spent a few moments with her. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her love for family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts.
