Jacqueline Elaine Talley

Ms. Jacqueline Elaine Buchanan Talley was born April 1, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Herbert and Annie Mai Hornby Buchanan. She answered her call to go home and be with the Lord on Saturday March 21, 2026, surrounded by her family at Waters of Gallatin in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Jacqueline was educated in Davidson County Public Schools. She was employed by Baptist Hospital and retired in 2003 after 25 years of services. Jackie as she was affectionately called by her family and friends accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church West Nashville under Rev. Henry K. Smith.

Jackie loved to skate. She would often go to Maceo Skating Rink. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite saying was “I’m going to whoop your butt”!

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Annie Buchanan, sons, James R. Talley, and Trayce L. Talley, granddaughter, Ketoya S. Talley.

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Alfreda G. Demonbreun (Norvelle) and Sharon Y. Gaddes (Tyrome), grandchildren, Nareda K. Lewis (Zack), Pamela L. Demonbreun, Jhenaire C. Gaddes, great-grandchildren, Trayce D. Talley (Patricia Finley), Deadrick D. Talley, Darviell Q. Talley, Antwana K. Smith, Mont’taysha Demonbreun, Ankeala Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Amiyah Thompson, 10 great- great grandchildren, sister, Doris (Tyrone) Derrick, Auntie, Ruby Mai Bartlett, uncle Douglas Simmons, 3 nephews, 1 niece a host of other relatives and friends, best friend, Ms. Bonita Blackmon.
