James Allen Williams, Sr. was born June 26, 1941 to the late Morris and Katherine Claybrooks Williams. he entered peacefully into rest on Friday, January 20th, 2023.
James received his formal education in Williamson County Public School Systems, graduating as Salutatorian from Franklin High School. He accepted Christ as his personal Savoir at Whites Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, under the leadership of Elder Dan Carothers, where he served as a Deacon.
James was employed with State Stove Trucking Company and later employed with Roadway Express Company for 38 years, where he received the Million Mile Driver Award twice and one Oscar. He loved driving a truck and went by the name “Rouse da bout”, He would say “Go Head” this is “Rouse da bout”. James shared his Blessing with All his family and friends. He had a Heart of Gold.
James was preceded in death by his son, James Allen Williams, Jr., aunt, Georgia Williams, sister, Karyon Faye Williams Tucker, and brothers, Charles Williams, and Richard Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories loving and devoted wife, Delores P. Williams, children, Latonya D. Boyd, Brian G. Williams, Sharon (Johnny) Winston, grandchildren, Latasha (Alonzo) Collins, Jessica Williams, Jamie Williams, Christal Williams, Danielle Boyd, Mikaela (Tylis) Williams, great grandchildren, Jaylen Williams Sasha Williams Smith, Kami Williams, Haylea Crable, Harleigh Munson, sisters, Geraldine Fuqua, Jessie Morris, Patricia (Raymond) Battle, Shirley McAdoo, sisters-in-law, Wanda Robinson, Gale (Jerry) Sims, brothers-in-law, Carlton Patterson, Pastor Gary (Beverly) Patterson, dear friends, Cynthia Morris, Willie Signor, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
