James R Hill

James R. Hill was born on March 6, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Augusta and Rebecca Hill. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

James was educated in the Davidson County School Systems, attending Pearl High School. He was employed with and retired from Metro Nashville Davidson County School Systems.

 James enjoyed traveling, singing, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his two buddies Duck & Skipper Pool.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Mae Hill, and sister, Mary A. Rogan.

He leaves to cherish his memories children, Diane Hill, Michael Hill, devoted friend, Gladys Bowden, nieces, Yvette Hill, Yvonne McGowan, Alfreda Rogan, Rebecca Rogan, Laura Heyward, cousins, Almedia Alexander (Fort Wayne Indiana), Louise Hentley (Nashville, Tennessee), devoted friends, Ronald “Elliott”(Indiana), Tommy, Clarence, Theron, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation Wednesday, April 6, 2022, 11-12 with funeral to follow at fh. Burial in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
