Janet Faye Brown

Ms. Janet Faye Brown was born October 6, 1956, in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Janet was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools. She was a graduate of Pearl High Class of 1975.

She was employed by Vanderbilt University for over 20 years. She enjoyed watching westerns on Television, going to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Wade, grandmother, Frances Brown, her beloved best friend, Betty Evans, whose friendship she cherished deeply and her grandson, Ra’Kendrick.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Roderick Brown, Terance Brown, Ricky (Shay) Gaddes and Patrick Gaddes, grandchildren, Tamara Brown, Tiara Adkins, Jhkia Moore, Jamiyah Watkins, Brysan Gaddes, Ra’Kia Staten, KeyDarius Shaw, Ja’Vontez Staten, sisters- in-law, Shelia Dumas, Lolita (Steve) Braden, Lamorur (Jerome) Pittman, brothers-in-law, Vincent (Tracy) Gaddes, Lopez (Nancy) Gaddes and many nieces, nephews and friends.
