Preceded in death by husband, Sanford Sawyers & son, Elese Danels, Jr. Survived by children, Ojarettia (Viladmir) Sozanski, Nathaniel (Eva) Sawyers, Leroy (Linda) Sawyers & Micheal (Christy) Sawyers; devoted granddaughters, Denise (Harold) Bowers, Bernice Owens & Nytonya Waller; grand & great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and New Salem AME Church family; devoted friends, Maggie Cannon, Willie Mae Baxter & Carrie Brown. Viewing Tuesday, 12-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation Wednesday, 6-7 p.m., with funeral to follow at New Salem AME Church, 1800 4th Ave. N. Rev. Anthony Thomas, Eulogist.
