Jeffery Marcellus Fair

Jeffrey Marcellus Fair, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on April 20, 2023, at the age of 53 in Columbia, Tennessee. He was born on February 21, 1970, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the second child of the late Dr. James W Fair and Carolyn Amos Fair.

 

Jeff's early years were primarily spent in Jeffersonville, Missouri. During his teenage years, his family moved to Lake Orion, Michigan, where he graduated from Lake Orion High School. 

Following his passion for business, Jeff pursued higher education at Lincoln University in Missouri. Throughout his matriculation, he was not only dedicated to his studies but also played on the men’s basketball team and became a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.

 

Professionally, Jeff embarked on a successful career with Dell Technologies Incorporated, where he made valuable contributions as a dedicated employee.

 

Jeff will always be remembered for his deep love for basketball. Whether playing or watching the game, it brought him immense joy and served as a constant source of solace. Alongside his passion for sports, he possessed an impeccable sense of fashion, always looking dapper and stylish. Jeff's intellect, charm, and infectious smile left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Above all, he was a firm believer in Christ and drew strength from his faith.

 

Jeffrey Marcellus Fair was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dr. James W Fair and Carolyn Amos Fair. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy and will be deeply missed by his cherished daughter, Amber Barlow. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Christopher Fair, Jennifer (Brian) Fair Giddens, and Ronney (Genise) Magee. Additionally, he leaves behind his adoring nieces, McKinley Giddens, Genasya Magee, Gabrielle Magee and Gemelandie Magee; nephews, Maddox Giddens, Mays Giddens and Ronney Magee Jr. along with a host of other relatives and countless friends.

 

During this time of mourning, let us remember the life of Jeffrey Marcellus Fair and the impact he had on all those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory be a blessing to us all.

Memorial arrangements will be held at Terrell Broady Funeral Home on June 3, 2023 at 10:00am. Friends and family will pay their respects and celebrate Jeff's life.
