On April 25, 1962 to the parents of G. W. Pitts and Rosetta Smith, a baby girl was born in Ripley, TN named Jenna Pitts. She attended the Public School System of Lauderdale County by attending Ripley High School and receiving an 11th grade education. She later proudly obtained her G.E.D. in Nashville, TN. Jenna was born again by being baptized in Jesus name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Grace Apostolic Church in Nashville, TN under her former Pastor, the Late Bishop Melvin Boyd.
Sis. Jenna, while in Nashville, TN, met Elgrine J. Kirby Jr. and the two was united in Holy Matrimony on November 12, 1994. Sis. Jenna was a homemaker and was well known for baking the worlds best peach cobbler. Sis. Jenna was employed at Springs Bath Fashion for many years. Also, throughout many years Sis. Jenna was an Independent Avon Sales Representative and an Tennessee Election Official.
Sis. Jenna Kirby departed this life Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:58 p.m. in Alive Hospice Residence Nashville after battling her illness. The Angel of God released her spirit from this world of sin, sorrow and pain. Now she is free from all her pain and suffering she had to endure in her flesh. Sis. Jenna now smiles with the angels as we on earth rejoice in a remembrance of love and devotion.
She leaves fond memories to her loved ones; husband E. J. Kirby; three devoted children; Willie Pitts, (Nashville, TN); Billy Scott, (Peoria, IL) and JimMyra Boyd (Michael II), (Nashville, TN); her loving sister Bertha Smith (Fayettville, NC); and her cherished grandchildren; JaVonte Pitts, Josiah Pitts, Shania Scott, Jonathan Scott, Jeremiah Scott, Michael Boyd III, Ava Boyd, Malachi Boyd and Aivee Boyd; and a host of devoted nephews.
Visitation Thursday, November 4, 2021, 10-11:00 a.m. with funeral to follow at Christ Church 15354 Old Hickory Blvd. Nashville, Tn. Interment Hermitage Memorial Gardens 535 Shute Ln. Old Hickory, Tn.
