Jeremiah Lee Evans

He was born June 3, 1999 in Nashville, Tennessee to Tony Lee Evans and Dondrea Irishia Thompson. He transitioned from this world after an accident on June 11, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia at the tender age of 22. Jeremiah, also known as "Uncle Doug", attended Buena Vista Elementary School, and John Early Middle School. He played varsity football and graduated from Pearl Cohn High School in 2017. He loved all sports, especially football, fishing, and swimming. Jeremiah was always the life of the party smiling, laughing and joking with everyone he knew, but mostly with his family and friends. It is easy to describe this caring, kind, humorous spirit. It is difficult for anyone who met him to accept this sudden loss. Jeremiah is preceded in death by his brother Joshua Thompson, his grandmothers Mary Evans and Joyce Thompson. Jeremiah is survived by his parents, Tony (Kelli) Evans and Dondrea I. Thompson, Brother Jordan Thompson, Sister Toneshia Evans, Step Brother Trey West and Step Sister Ashlee West. Nephews Jordan Thompson Jr. and Lakeem West. Aunts Freda and Kim Evans. Uncles Melvin and Morgan Evans. Great Aunts Brenda (Roger) Williams, Margaret (Thomas) Brown and Valda (Felix) Banks. Devoted Friends Jamal Crutcher, Shawn Elam, Edward Hyde, Herbert Battle, Denzel Harris and Madison Allen. Viewing Friday, June 18, 2021, 12-6 at funeral home. Visitation Saturday, June 19, 2021, 12-1 with funeral to follow at Mt. Gilead M.B. Church 901 Acklen Ave. Burial in Greenwood West.

Jeremiah you are already missed by your family and friends. Know that you are with OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST now will make the pain of losing you just a little more easier to bare. Remembering your faithfulness when you was a member of the Angelic choir and Jr Ushers ministry you will always remain in our hearts as One of GODS ANGLES and our family member. You will always be remembered.
