Jewell N. Hardy

Mrs. Jewell Hardy was born November 9, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Frank Waters and Lucille Hartzfield Waters. She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jewell accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was a Christian by faith. Jewell was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Schools graduating from Pearl High School. She continued her education by attending A & I University.

Jewell had a calling on her life to comfort people. She was employed by several healthcare facilities to include Meharry Hospital and Vanderbilt Hospital.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading the bible, shopping and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hardy and daughter, Deborah Hardy Grant.

Those left to cherish her memories are her devoted children, Milton (Sha) Taylor, Jr., “Twain”, Joy Hardy, and Bridgette Hardy (James Cartwright), grandchildren, Charlin Caster, Brianca Williams, Anicia Quanese Newman, Tyler Taylor, Hope Bass, Notlim Taylor, Milton “TJ” Tayor, III, Anasha Jones, Chimere Hardy, Rico Hardy and Destiny Hardy, great-grandchildren, Gary Wayne Mills and Ariyona Bond, a host of other relatives and friends.
