John L. Davis, Sr., age 93 transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on June 13, 2022. 

He leaves to cherish his memories a Very Devoted Wife of 68 years, Emma Jean Davis; Devoted  Daughter Anita (Terrance) Williams, Devoted Daughter Jacqueline (James) Gant, daughter Barbara Jean Horton; Devoted Son John L. Davis Jr (Teresa), son Terry Carpenter; Sisters, Mattie Riley, Mary (Walter) Townsend, Shirletta Davis, Sandra (Reverend Grady) Cook, Wanda (Gary) Foxx; Sister-In-Laws Bobbie Davis, Samella  and Beverly Jones; numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, Devoted Nephews Jerry (Tammie), Charles and Johnnie Davis, Willie Otis.  Special friends, Reverend Dr. Lester and Mary Cousin, Elsie Armstrong Matlock, Pastor John Robert and Johnnie Holt, Reverend Clevona Davis, Pastor Cora Alston, Dr. Jeff and Barbara Zwerner,  William Lauderdale, Jessie and Christine Jackson,  Joel and Beth Harrington, Dierks and Cassidy Bentley, Tom Inklebarger, Brett and Marie Turner, Angela Davis, Delois Davis, Elmwood Avenue Neighbors and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives & friends.
