Survived by wife, Teresa Johnson-Sawyers; ex-wife, Pamela Hardison-Sawyers; children, Raymond (Andrea) Sawyers, Rico, Ed & Travis Gurley; step-children, Semica & Lamar Carter; sisters and brothers, Walter B. 'Bubba' (Erma) Sawyers, Tyrone (Carolyn) Caruthers, Marilyn (Fred) Reid, Gloria Sawyers, Hattie Rose, James Baugh, Patricia Sawyers & Wydell Reed, Davene Sawyers & Kenneth Cage, Angela Sawyers & Timothy Graves; aunt, Evelyn Sweeney; 14 grandchildren, a host of other relatives & friends. Visitation Tuesday, 6-7 p.m., with funeral to follow at Terrell Broady Funeral Home, (615) 244-4755.
