John "Shoney" White

John “Shoney” White (Twin) was born August 1, 1962 in Murfreesboro, TN. He attended Metropolitan Nashville Davidson County Schools, where he graduated from McGavock High School in 1980. Shoney entered rest on November 20, 2021 after an extended illness at Signature Healthcare Center.
Shoney is preceded in death by his father John Willie Peebles.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Lillie B. White; twin brother, James “Peewee” White; sister, Michelle Dixon; nieces, Darchelle Hardeman and Isabella Holcomb of Nashville; aunts, Jessie Johnson and Ida Baker; stepmother, Lynda S. Peebles; brothers, John Jr., James, Jeffrey Peebles of Murfreesboro; sisters, Freda Harwell and Lena Burns of Murfreesboro and a host of several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation Friday, November 26, 2021, 10-4pm with service to follow at funeral home. Burial Saturday 10am at Greenwood Main.
