Joseph Samuel Glenn

November 20, 1962 — March 17, 2026

With heavy hearts we share the passing of our dad, Joseph Samuel Glenn, who went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2026, at the age of 63. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, Joseph was the beloved son of Marie Teasley and John Thomas Glenn and the youngest of twelve. He attended Davidson County Schools and was a faithful friend whose warmth, quick wit, and quiet strength left a mark on everyone he met.

Joseph was the life of every gathering — his jokes, well‑worn stories, and remarkable cooking and grilling made ordinary days feel like celebrations. He loved food and dreamed of turning his favorite dishes into a business someday. Our dad never met a stranger; he greeted everyone with a smile and a helping hand, even when help wasn’t returned. Though he wasn’t given the tools to be a father at first, he made room to grow into the role, showing patience and gentle care for his loved ones without ever forcing a relationship. He is now at peace with our Heavenly Father.

He is survived by his daughters LaTonya Baker and Tasha Love‑Mangrum (Julian); his son, Joseph Lamont Glenn; his grandchildren Alvin Comer Jr. and Sydni Love‑Turner; and a host of nieces and nephews. His living siblings include brother Walter Glenn Sr.; and sisters Marian Lawless, Nova Inez Glenn, Adrienne Elaine Glenn (Columbia, Tennessee), Gladys Mason (Robert Sr.) (Antioch, TN), Katherine Glenn, Brenda Glenn (Nolensville, TN), and Linda Rose (James) (Smyrna, TN). He is also survived by many other loving family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Teasley and John Thomas Glenn; and by siblings Barbara Jean Drennon, Johnnie Mae Baker‑Sanders, Jerry Wayne Glenn, James Glenn, William Larry Glenn, Howell Leon Glenn, Frank Wells Jr., and Howard Leo Glenn.

The family will hold private remembrances; there will be no public service or gathering. If you wish to honor Joseph’s memory, a gift to a charity of your choice in his name would be gratefully received in lieu of flowers. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
