Julia Elizabeth Jackson Smith

Julia Elizabeth Jackson Smith was born on November 11, 1923 to the union of Alex and Carrie Jackson in Florence, Alabama. She departed this life on Wednesday, January, 18^th, 2023 at her residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Julia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She attended the Public Schools of Florence, Alabama and Nashville, Tennessee.

Julia was united in Holy Matrimony to Pastor Remus Smith and they enjoyed a number of years together. She loved cooking, cleaning, reading, writing, singing, watching westerns, soap operas, and other TV Shows, being with family and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Carrie Jackson, grandparents, Will and Annie Robertson, husband, Pastor Remus Smith, sons, Remus Smith Jr., Phillip Ray Smith, daughters, Frances Ajoqri, Debra Moton, brother, Alex Jackson Jr., and her granddaughter, LuRonda Couch Green.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughters, Patricia Jackson, Carmen Couch, grandchildren, Andrea’ Polk, Katisha Moton, LaShasta Moton, great grandchildren, Ronzell, Jacquese, and Deonte’ Reed, Carmen and Chasidy Couch, D’Shawn and Desmond Moton, great great grandchildren, Easton and Deonte’ Reed Jr., son-in-law, Charles Moton, cousins, Mary (Iddy) Baugh and Family, Emma Lue, Joyce Ann, Darryl (Lynette), Eriah, Gwen, Cheryl Smith, Areletta, John Henry, other family, Delores McNeal, Brenda, Linda, Bessie, Mary, Janice, Lisa, Sharon and Michael Glenn, Terrance Harris Robert Reed and Family, Wanda, Alvirita, Benita and Family, Ginny and Jaaron, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
