Kevin Wesley Carter

Kevin Wesley Carter Sr. (affectionately called “KC”) was born on June 27, 1959 in Nashville, TN. He was the second of five children born to Amelia Carter. He attended East High School, then he worked for the State of TN before beginning his longtime career in construction. KC had many hobbies. He loved music, fishing, spending time with family and working with his hands; he was his family and friend’s own personal handyman. In 1982, he married his loving wife, Connie Granberry. From this union, three children were born. Connie had a daughter, Charedy Granberry, that he treated as his own.

Kevin is survived by a loving extended family which includes: his devoted aunt, Yvonne Webb; his four children Charedy L. Granberry, Devin L. Carter, Kevin W, Carter Jr., Daniel M. Carter; his siblings: Pamela Y. Hurd, Mary Davis (Renice), Kimberly R. Alexander, and Michelle Carter; his ten grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
