Latroy Durrell Armstrong

Latroy (Troy) Durrell Armstrong was born Oct 9, 1984 in Nashville, TN and he was called to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec 25, 2023. Latroy was a beloved son, born to the late Willie Armstrong Sr. and Delphine M.  Johnson.  Latroy graduated from Maplewood High School in Nashville, Tn.

Latroy was a very lovable person, and he had an old spirit that came across in all of his conversations. Troy spent many years befriending or making friends through Centerstone Rehab Centers, as well as the Clarksville and Nashville area. He loved sparking general conversation and using his contagious smile. Later on, Troy took passion to riding his bike all across Nashville, visiting friends and family.

 Latroy had such a heart of Gold. Even in his times of need, Latroy made an intentional effort to call and check on his family, even if it was more than once a day. He would spend his spare time catching up on his Tubi movies and listening to his Pandora music mix. The mix had to definitely include tracks by Project Pat and Soulja Boy (Crank that!). You have not seen a performance until you have seen Troy “YULE”.

Troy is survived by his Siblings: Ricky Peoples, Gladys Jobe, Maria (Howard) Wallace, Willie Armstrong Jr, Daryl (Jessiemae) Armstrong, Senetra Williams. Beloved aunts & uncle: Christine Mitchell, Jessie Teasley Johnson & Steven Johnson, just to name a few.  He leaves a host of Nieces, Nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delphine Johnson and Willie Armstrong Sr.
