LeShonda Floyd, 53, passed away in Nashville, TN on November 25, 2025. LeShonda was born on October 21, 1972, to the late Robert Floyd, Jr. and late Wandra Brown. Leshonda was a beautiful, kind child who brought much joy to her family. LeShonda was educated in Metro Public Schools, where she discovered her passion for painting and drawing at a young age.
LeShonda’s life was defined by her openness to new experiences and the strong bonds she shared with her loved ones. Her love for travel and change led her to reside in various cities throughout her life, embracing each new community she encountered. LeShonda was a caregiver at MurciHomes, a residential agency serving individuals with severe/profound disabilities, and often attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
LeShonda was a creative soul, creating beautiful art that reflected her unique perspective. She also loved children and shared their sense of wonder. LeShonda leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the time spent with family.
LeShonda is survived by her brothers: Darryl (Anna) Jackson, Trabian (Florence) Jackson, Demetrice (Michelle) Odom; aunts and uncles: Donna (Larry) Wade, Latonya (James) Potter, and Andre (Christa) Floyd; and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Special thanks to Dominique Wade for every moment of compassionate and selfless care provided to LeShonda over the years.
