Lin-Cee Brianna Byars

Ms. Lin-Cee Brianna Byars was born on February 12, 1992, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, to Margie Cowan and Jeremy Byars. She was also the beloved daughter of Vincent Nolen and Sharon Byars. Lin-Cee peacefully transitioned from this life on August 25, 2025, at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, following complications from surgery. Education and Academic Achievements

Lin-Cee began her educational journey at W.G. Rhea Elementary School and Paris Elementary School. She later attended W.O. Inman Middle School and E.W. Grove High School, ultimately graduating from Henry County High School with the Class of 2010. During her time at Henry County High, she was a dedicated member of the Marching Band for four years, playing both the trumpet and French horn.

She continued her education at Murray State University, where she also participated in the university band as a trumpet player. Lin-Cee graduated in the Fall of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Veterinary Science. She furthered her education at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology, earning her diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing in the Fall of 2017. Career and Professional Life Lin-Cee began her professional career at Henry County Health Care, where she worked from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, she relocated to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and worked at Primary Care and Hope Clinic until 2023. Her most recent employment was with Amazon, where she worked until her health began to decline. Faith and Church Involvement Lin-Cee accepted Christ at an early age at Progressive Baptist Church. As a child, she was an active member of the church, singing in the choir and with the Voices of Praise. Loved Ones Preceding Her in Death

Lin-Cee was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Julia Cowan, and her paternal grandfather, Billy Byars. Also preceding her were her maternal great- grandparents: King and Narvie Dunlap, Mary F. Cowan, and Mays Brown; and her paternal great-grandparents: Vester and Gwendolyn Crutchfield, Milton and Mary L. Byars. She was also preceded in death by her aunt, Cindy Bobo; great-aunts: Dorothy Williams, Marjorie Lewis, and Lillie Jones; a brother, Troy Nolen; and a special grandmother, Bobbie Haynes.

Cherished Family and Friends

Lin-Cee leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Margie (Vincent) Nolen, and her father, Jeremy (Sharon) Byars. She is also survived by her sisters: Kourtnei, Jade (her twin), and Kelsey Byars; and by Amber Nolen and Brittney Martin. She is lovingly remembered by 16 nieces and nephews.

Her surviving grandparents include Mary A. Byars and John A. Nolen. She is also survived by her uncles: Pierre Bobo and family, and Anthony (Danita) Nolen and family; her aunts: Melanie Byars, Evelyn Perry, Jennifer Nolen, and Christy (Tony) Raye.

Her godparents were Tink and Daphne Combs, Barbara Gray, Michelle Lewis, and Vaxter Pate. Lin-Cee's extended family and close friends include Emily Arnold; Rodney Sr. and Yvette Littleton; Bub and Peyten Littleton; Derek Hill; Isyalia and Ilyaia McClain; Paulette, Reggie, and Mike Dunlap; Cody Raye; Portia Kinley; Jadis and

Norman Duncan; Cozette Davis and family; Robert and Barbara Turner and family; Khameya (Gary) Kirby; Jamar (Shalimar) Lewis; David Jones and family; Jackie Jones and family; and Marilyn Teague. Special family friends include Steven Davis and family, and Cynnamon Johnson and family. A Life of Love, Joy, and Compassion Lin-Cee loved to love, laugh, and live—and she encouraged everyone around her to do the same. Her giving heart, radiant spirit, and joyful presence touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her, and she will never be forgotten.
