Linda L Bond

January 30, 1956 — October 3, 2025

With our earthly gardens, we want only the strong beautiful flowers, God’s heavenly garden is a replica of our earthly garden. On October 3, 2025, God directed His angels to come pick a strong beautiful flower, Linda, for His garden. Linda L. Bond was born January 30,1956 in Madison County, Tennessee. She was the sixth child born to George Harrot and Lenola Bond.

Linda attended public schools in Jackson/Madison County and graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School in 1974. After high school, she attended West Tennessee Business College. After moving to Nashville, she secured a job as secretary to Dr. Isibor, Head of the Engineering Department at Tennessee State University, where she was employed many years, eventually retiring as a secretary under Dr. John in the cardio-respiratory department of Tennessee State University. Later in life she became a caregiver for her sister, Angela.

Linda was a kind and gentle spirit, with a unique and distinctive style, all her own. Linda moved through this life quietly encouraging those around her. She was a multi-talented person with a passion for the arts. She found joy in artistic sketching, writing, cooking, and music. Linda was gifted with a beautiful voice, which she shared with others by participating in church choirs and concerts, eventually recording a country music song, a lifetime goal she took pride in achieving. She was mother to one daughter, Nykoyo Nicole Bond, with whom she had an unbreakable love bond.

Linda’s relationship with God began early in life, as a member of Denmark Baptist Church (Denmark TN). She continued her Christian growth after moving to Nashville she joined Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church and remained a member there until the Lord led her to support her brother in his developing ministry at New Beginnings Eight Day Ministries until her passing.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents George and Lenola Bond; her brothers Hiawatha, George, and Willie Bond; her sister Ernestine Franklin Bowers.

To cherish her memory, Linda leaves daughter, Nykoyo Nicole Bond, siblings: Ronald Bond (brother), Nettie (Wenford) Barnes (sister), Sandra Jacox (Sister), Marilyn Weddle (Sister), Rosemary (John) Dickerson (sister), Angela Bond (sister), and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
