Lorece Hoosier Gore

September 30, 1938 — January 15, 2026

Lorece H. Gore was born on September 30, 1938, to the late Bertha M. Barnes. She entered into eternal life on January 15, 2026.

She eccepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized and joined First Baptist Church of Goodlettsville where she always attended church activities. She later united with Cleveland Street Baptist Church. She sang in the #3 Choir, worked in the Beautifying Ministry which she had a passion for. She was also a member of the Environment of Grace Women’s Ministry.

Lorece graduated from Haynes High School in 1957. She furthered her education to become a Practical Nurse, where she received her license at Vanderbilt University Hospital. She went to work at Centennial Hospital and worked on the mother/baby unit.

She met the love of her life Eugene L. Gore and was united in holy matrimony on November 3, 1958. They were blessed to celebrate 53 years of devoted marriage.

Lorece loved decorating. She enjoyed fixing up her porch, working in her yard and let’s not forget Shopping! In the earlier years she and her husband Gene hosted some of the most outstanding gatherings (Cook-outs) where all the neighborhood children were welcome.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Dana Gore, daughter Donna Gore and sisters, Lula and Lila.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter, Deborah (Archie) Conley, Dale (Ivy) and Karen Gore. A devoted son in Love, Archie “Poo” Conley. Grandchildren: Laresa, Jaris (Demeisha), Justin (Nikka) Tayla, Doveva (Ruach), Dale Jr and Derrick. 19 great grandchildren.
