With heavy hearts yet grateful spirits, we celebrate the life and legacy of Mrs. Lucy Mae Robinson, who entered eternal rest on February 22, 2026, at the age of 78—just days before her 79th birthday.
Born on February 25, 1947, in Covington, Tennessee, to the late Clara B. Walker and Willie Walker, Lucy was a woman whose life radiated faith, strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a proud graduate of Frazier High School, where she began building the foundation of determination and resilience that would define her life. She later made her home in Nashville, Tennessee, where she built a life rooted in God, family, and community.
Lucy was truly a woman of faith — a woman of God. Her belief carried her through life’s joys and trials, and she instilled that same strength and spiritual foundation into everyone blessed to know her. Her prayers covered her family, and her wisdom guided generations.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Clara B. Walker; her father, Willie Walker; her brother, Kato; her sister; and her grandson, William Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her devoted husband, Melvin L. Robinson, who stood by her side in love and partnership.
She also leaves her loving siblings: Eddie (Mary) Walker, Annie (Walter) Sanders, Bril (Author) Peete, Wade Walker, Elizabeth (John) Cantrell, Martha Helen Walker, Herman Walker, and Cassandra Walker.
Her legacy continues through her children: Melvin (Michelle) Robinson, Adrian (Teresa) Robinson, and Candice Robinson.
Her grandchildren: Bianca, Brittany, Sean, Rakala, Chelsey, Benet, Brandon, Camille, Makenzie, Michael, Adrianna, Ryan, and Adrian Jr.
Her great-grandchildren: Josiah, Kai, Karter, Christopher, Zy’onna, and Koda.
She also leaves her dedicated niece, Portia Walker, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Lucy found joy in life’s simple and beautiful pleasures. She loved shopping and enjoying a good meal. She had a creative spirit and enjoyed ceramic making. She could often be found watching her favorite shows, including Perry Mason and Soap Operas, fully immersed in every episode. But above all, nothing brought her more pride and happiness than supporting her grandchildren. Whether it was a school event, sports game, recital, or special achievement — she was there. Every time. Her presence was constant, her cheers were loud, and her love was unconditional.
Her life was a living example of dedication, resilience, and grace. She nurtured, she protected, she prayed, and she loved deeply. Though our hearts are broken, we celebrate a life well lived and a woman who made an unforgettable impact on everyone she touched. Lucy’s love will continue to live on in every life she touched. Though she may be absent from our sight, she will never be absent from our hearts.
