Mother Mable O. Fletcher

Mother Mable Odell Fletcher was born in Tony, Alabama to John Dillard Hatchett and Gracie (Bonner) Hatchett on July 18, 1931. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, January 1, 2025, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mable accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was a faithful servant at Foster Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Mable was a graduate of Council Training School. She relocated to Nashville and met her husband William H. Fletcher. This union lasted over 59 years before he went home to be with the Lord.

Mable was a loving wife. She devoted her life to her children and husband. As long as they were happy, she was happy. She loved God more than anything and wanted her children and grandchildren to be saved. Mable loved working in her yard. This brought her much joy and pleasure. She would often say she felt close to God while gardening. She loved making memories with family and attending tea parties with friends.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, John, Willie, James, Joe, David, Nollon, Lorenzo, Houston, Catherine and Joyce Marie Jamar.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are children, Valerie Oliver, Pamela (Jeff) Council, Gwendolyn Fletcher, Betty Fletcher, Annette (David) and Felicia Fletcher plus grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother, Rev. Ollie (Cleotha) Hatchett, sister, Lorean (Walter) Jones, sister-in-law, Maxine Anderson, Brenda Hatchett and brother-in-law, Mackie Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends, devoted cousin/friend, Anna Kirby.
