Mable Woods

Mable Lena Woods was born on April 18, 1928 to Katie Penn Knight and John Knight whom preceded her in Death. Also Proceeding in death is husband Willie Woods, daughter Linda Gale Woods Richardson, and son John Henry Knight.

Mable accepted Christ as her lord and savior at an early age. She was a faithful member of Olivet Missionary Baptist Church, and soon became a member of the usher board.

She was educated in Metro Nashville Public Schools.

She enjoyed listening to gospel music, going shopping, and attending church on Sunday. She would be so happy to see all the grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren when they would stop by her house to see her.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory children: Brenda (Edmond) Lyons, Liddon (Cherita ) Woods, Tony (Cheryl ) Woods, Michael Woods, Maurice Woods, Sandra Barnett, Reba Woods, and Conshae Woods granddaughter whom she raised. Niece: Johnnie Mae, Nephews: Johnnie Hall, John Knight, Daughter in law: Jacqueline Knight. Mable had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Conshae Woods, Datonya Newsome Ellis, Tewanna Vanburen, Tanea Vanburen, Kayshonda Lucas, Shondria Woods, Nicole Barnett, Very special thanks to grandson Markeith Lucas who stayed overnight with Mable at the hospital and at the Rehabilitation facility every night while she was there.
