Marvist Ann Parks

Marvist Ann Henderson Parks was born on March 21,1945 in Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Sam and Henrietta Henderson. She transitioned peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Metro General Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Marvist was educated in Shelby County Public School Systems. She continued her education by attending Tennessee State University.

Marvist was united in Holy Matrimony to William Rogers Parks, and two children were born to this union. She was employed with Vanderbilt University Medical Center, as a Research Analysis/Biologist for a number of years, until she retired.

Marvist was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Parks, and her parents, Sam and Henrietta Henderson.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Vincent and Victory Parks, a host of other relatives, and friends.
