To the Penney Family
We take this time to express our personal condolences to the family of Mary L Penney. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family, and friends of the family during this hour of great sorrow. It is on this day that we join you in grieving over the loss of your loved one. Really, it is the proper thing to do seeing that we are all really related. (Romans 5:12) How sad we are that because of one man's wayward step, the entire human family finds themselves in sin and death. Now instead of living forever, we find ourselves grieving over the loss of someone who was special to us. Today all can find comforting in knowing that God has not forgotten about His earthly family. He has taken the time to reveal this wonderful promise that would reverse the effects of sin and death. The promise is recorded at John 5:28-29. In the verses, God tells us that He would call to those in the grave to stand up in life again. Yes, the text is clear. Our departed loved ones will have their lives restored back to them. This arrangement is possible because God is the source of life for all created things. (Psalm 36:9) So today, all are confronted with this one question, do we have faith that the resurrection to life will take place? Even if we are not sure as to how to answer this question, God will help all to come to the proper conclusion. God has taken the time to preserve nine accounts in the Bible that speaks about the grand blessing that is near at hand. Here is just one such example that is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. I hope that all will get a chance to see how these verses apply to Mary, and a great host of others who await their personal awakening from the death sleep of death. (Isaiah 26:19) For now our loved ones are powerless in the grave. However, they will soon stand up in life again. Today all can use this time to learn all that they can about the resurrection blessing from God. So, in closing we say to all to please keep this promise from God near your hearts at all times. Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes reality. For it is impossible for God to lie. (Titus 1:2)
