Survived by children, Barbara Ann Scales-Stephens and Dollye Elizabeth Scales, Robert Harrison Scales III (Anita), William Penn Scales (Tamela) and David D'Angelo Scales (Stacey); grandchildren Alphonso Jr., Adrienne, Allyson, Seneca, Valencia, Robert IV, Penny, William, Wesley, Bobbie, Sadie, Jonathan, Jackson, Tiffany, Uryan and Brittany; 11 great-grandchildren, husband Napoleon Batts; Viewing Sunday 2-4 pm. Visitation Monday 10-11 with funeral to follow at Terrell Broady Funeral Home, 615-244-4755
