Matthew Louis Keith, born on February 3, 1979, in Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Cumberland City, Tennessee. He was a cherished member of his family and the community, whose presence enriched the lives of those around him.
Matthew graduated from Rhea County High School and furthered his education at Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His educational pursuits spanned several years, equipping him with knowledge that he would carry throughout his life.
Matthew married the love of his life Edwinna Jackson. This relationship was cherished by the couple and flourished with love and laughter.
Matthew dedicated many years to the restaurant industry, where he honed his skills and served countless patrons. However, it was three years ago that he found his true calling at McElroy Trucking Co., where he flourished and contributed significantly to the team.
An individual known for his humor, Matthew delighted in telling dad jokes that brought laughter and joy to many. He was passionate about various hobbies, including fixing cars, playing video games, cooking, landscaping, and reading the Bible, each reflecting his diverse interests and dedication to personal growth.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Edwinna Keith, daughter, Jackson Keith, son, Matthew Keith, II, his parents, William Keith Sr. and Janis Keith; sister, Elicia Phillips, brother, William D. Keith Jr.; sister-in-law, Cherlinda Bassham; and brother-in-law, Melvin Jackson III. Matthew is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched.
