Michael Thorpe Harvey

Michael Thorpe Harvey was born January 21, 1971, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Russell David Harvey and Daphne Porter Harvey. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.

Michael was always very bright. He was educated in Nashville Davidson County Public Schools, graduating from Madison Academy in the Class of 1990. He continued his education by attending Middle Tennessee State University obtaining his B.S. Degree in Information Technology.

Michael married Sarah Sharlott in 2003. He was employed with Vanderbilt University and HCA in the Information Technology Dept.

Michael had several hobbies including dancing, hiking and camping; but he most enjoyed flying. He was a pilot and owned his own aircraft.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Daphne Porter Harvey, brother, Lester Harvey, paternal grandparents, Russell Albert Harvey and Melinda Stella Harvey, maternal grandparents, Otto Porter and Mary Porter.

Michael is survived by, devoted father, David (JoAnn) Harvey, sister, Zina (Jearl) Crowder, a niece, nephews, and cousins.
