Olivia (Williams) Fowler, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished sister, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on October 3, 1940, in East Meadow, New York, to the late Oliver Sparrow and Agnes Williams.

Olivia lived in New York for much of her life, where she raised her family and built lasting friendships. In 2012, after retiring, she moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, where she spent her remaining years enjoying life at a slower pace, surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Jeri Fowler-Brown. Olivia leaves behind her twin brother, Oliver Williams; her children, Myrna Cole, Mitchell Fowler, Patricia Littlejohn, and Mark Fowler; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah Fowler, Patrick Fowler, Demetrass Fowler, Mark Fowler Jr., and Anthony Collier. She also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Teyanna Fowler, who was the light of her life.

Olivia’s life was marked by her loving spirit, generous heart, and deep commitment to family. She had a passion for travel and crocheting, and she was a longtime supporter of various charities, always eager to give back to those in need. Her kindness and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate Olivia’s life will be held on December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 413 W 7th St., Metropolis, IL 62960. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories, honoring the remarkable woman Olivia was.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to [charity or cause] in Olivia’s memory, reflecting the compassion she always showed to others.

Olivia’s legacy of love, charity, and joy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
